New Name! Same great group

The SLS network is on the way out - however, the wonderful shops and people who formed that group are moving to a new home, and a new ethos based on distributed decision making and a foundational theory based on working together without focusing on this group being a profit center.

That isn't to say we won't be able to pool our funds to pay for important things - but we'll know exactly where our money is going, and we'll invest in what we think is best.

Additionally, we will go within the network for all resources that we can, and will outsource only when absolutely needed.

Site Building

Cory Boehne has taken over responsibility for providing a site for the network, there is currently a form up for information gathering, and soon the site will be built and available.

We have elected to go for the higher end Wordpress based site, eventually - but for now, we are operating a Google Site that allows us to continue operations if Stokelife goes dark - the basic Google Site will do great for us, but the Wordpress site, along with some paid plugins will enable us to look amazing once we get that larger site completed...

Current status on the Google based site is that individual shop pages have been completed at a basic level.

Next steps will be for shop owners to take ownership of their individual pages and update them/enhance them as they see fit.

There is effectively a logo design contest going on - see this Google Doc for the latest in Logo Design - and share your design if you'd like!

Currently, Josh is in the lead with a circuit board cross.
